Chicken is the most affordable protein source in the raw line up of protein choices. It is also higher in fat that most other proteins. The higher fat makes it a good choice for puppies, but not a good choice for dogs that are inactive.
It is always important to rotate protein types regularly. Every protein type brings something different to the table. Variety is best.
